Waiting on Wednesday: Meg Cabot’s BOY Series Returns!

So you may not know but Meg Cabot has recently been revisiting some of her old series, starting with The Princess Diaries last year (with Royal Wedding) and then onto The Mediator series (with Remembrance last November) and earlier this year Meg announced she would be returning to her Boy series this November with…

The Boy is Back

Think of it as a standalone!

The Boy series always follows a new couple in each book, with occasional cameos from past characters scattered through the series so you don’t have had to read the rest of the series first. The whole boy series consists of cute romance stories, with mostly cliché storylines such as enemies to lovers, the boy next door and office romances, but are all brilliantly told with amazing humour and friendships.

Synopsis;

Reed Stewart thought he’d left all his small town troubles—including a broken heart—behind when he ditched tiny Bloomville, Indiana, ten years ago to become rich and famous on the professional golf circuit.  Then one tiny post on the Internet causes all of those troubles to return . . . with a vengeance.

Becky Flowers has worked hard to build her successful senior relocation business, but she’s worked even harder to forget Reed Stewart ever existed. She has absolutely no intention of seeing him when he returns—until his family hires her to save his parents.

Now Reed and Becky can’t avoid one another—or the memories of that one fateful night.  And soon everything they thought they knew about themselves (and each other) has been turned upside down, and they—and the entire town of Bloomville—might never be the same, all because The Boy Is Back.

Sounds pretty cute, right? I was also like the biggest Meg Cabot fan ever when I was younger- I actually made it my mission to own all the books ever published by her under the name Meg Cabot and I had achieved it (as of 2009 anyway, when I gave up). I still haven’t given any of them away, and I’m always excited when I hear she has new books out. (Also on a side-note THIS BOOK IS YELLOW and I always need more yellow books for my rainbow book shelves).

This is an adult book, as is the rest of the Boy series.

UK Release Date: 17th November 2016

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine in which you discuss books you are highly anticipating. I’m going to try and post a Waiting on Wednesday post from now on, because I have a LOT of books I’m anticipating at the moment.

I’m currently writing my Cursed Child review, its incredibly hard to express how I feel about the play without spoiling it, which is why it’s taken so long. Hopefully it’ll be up before the end of the month!

      I’m really excited about this one, Meg can write adult romance quite well but I really like seeing how she takes on pop culture and modern themes in her new books. Thanks for the comment!
